    where to get specific color engine paint?

     



    The 235 in my '51 needs painted, I want to go original engine color and I know the original color is a teal blue but, where do I get the color? I see many restored 235's painted that color but I cannot find it. where do I get it? thanks in advance

    Check out the color chart above. I believe DE 1608 or DE1609 is the color you want. Your local automotive parts store should carry it. I prefer Duplicolor engine paints over other brands for brighter colors and better gloss.

    try bill hershe automotive on the internet or kanter automotive they have the original colors

    DE 1608 looks like the original color to me. I try to use all dupli color products for my rattle can jobs. I have 2 of those spray can guns, that snaps in the inside of the center, they spray well with the fan spray nozzles dupli color uses.

    any paint store if you have a part that is flat that has paint on it they can shot it and make up the paint. or the ppg paint library i have had good luck using enamel on engines or a chip book ppg have them and find a green in the fleet book
