It wasnt just the silvers, it was mostly the light metallics, but they all pealed, I ought to know I striped and refinished them for 13 years at the GM dealership I painted at. Anywhere from 3 -15 a week.Originally posted by DennyW
I like Dupont. The chevy silver paints were the big pealers. A lot of that was base coat, and primers, wrong prepping.
No war here. I used that brand for 6 years, with no problems, as long as the prep was done correctly. Todays paints, any bodies guess. Paint, paint type, person painting, person prep, and if you want to rub it to finish, or paint it to a finish, and look at it.
