    Greetin's

How's it goin'? I'm Rockne, and I'm a musclecaraholic ("Hi Rockne")

Speaking of muscle cars, maybe you want to hear about mine. She's a 1968 Oldsmobile 442 Sports Coupe. Stock motor, a relativly slow reving 400cid V8, mated to a TH-400, arguably one of the best transmissions ever built, manual or automatic. 3.92 Posi-traction rear end. Stock size rims with larger tires, can't remember the exact size off of the top of my head. Holley remanufactured Rochester Quadra-Jet 4-barrel carburetor, intake manifold from a '71 442 W-30. A enlarged lobe camshaft so the valves stay open a little longer to get every little thing out or in, depending on the point in the cycle. Stock exaust up to the muffler, sotck size after that, but they're Magnaflows with non stock crome straight tips (stocks were trumpet) PPG Emrald Blue with Gold and Silver metal flake, applied by meth addict, therefor numerous flaws (some caused by my dubious driving habits...sort of). She's a peach, a great daily driver and a beast on the strip, at least compared to everything else in my school. Would love to put a Holley or Demon Carb, plus some headers and beaf up the size of the exaust tubes maybe 3"? Who knows...who cares, I'm broke. HAHA! Oh well, great to be here, see y'all later.

By the way, can anybody recoment a good synthetic oil in SAE 30, I'm having a hard time finding anything.

Rocko, it sounds like a nice Olds. Welcome the the forums.

As far as your question on synthetic oil in single weight SAE 30, I can't ever remember seeing synthetic in signle weight, just multiple weight (like 10W30, etc.) Doesn't mean it is not available, but I haven't seen any around here.
