Beautiful engine! As Pro70z says it looks like a small block on the outside but it may actually be "big inside". Anyway with an Elky you "can really haul"! I guess I am sort of a bloodsucker on this Forum always trying to learn stuff about Chevy technology after freezing my mind back in the '50s with flathead Fords, so my questions are:

1. Do you mind telling where you got the ignition wire looms? I haven't seen that style before.

2. What is your view (anyone else can answer this as well) on the fact that you seem not to have a heat shield between the headers and the starter solenoid. I don't have one either, but folks tell me my solenoid will not last long that way. I ordered a heat shield from Speedway but it didn't fit so I do not have one yet, but is it not a good idea to keep heat away from the solenoid? I am just trying to learn about Chevy stuff and you really have a neat setup there, what is the actual cu. in.?
