Well, the plan is, as far as plans go, is to paint the old girl with a brush, now before you say hey "what a way to ruin a car" perhaps I will explain the whole deal. I want rod that will give me a persoanl appreciation of the original style of building, and a finish that will be hopefully not only pleasing to the eye but also practical. The era I am trying to emulate is the late fifty to early sixties hiboy. Some regs will of course hold me back and safety is a definate factor with two kiddies and a wife. What I am thinking is, and try to picture this, 1955 a young man who has recently left the military maybe with not a lot of money but a lot of technical skill and a desire to use it, finds himself buying a jalopy and trying to hop it up he ends up with a car that performs and drives relatively well, yet is considerably different from when he started, it has a concotion of different make parts and yet they all seem to mesh well, he also has removed any excees he deems not relevant. The result some may call Rat Rod, but I don't really find that name too appealing. RAT ROD In its original context which means (I think) a car made up of "ratted" parts, is O.K. It now seems as though some people use the term in a derogatory sense, bit of a shame huh?
The colour Matt Brown.
Engine 350 chev (of course I hear you say! well I am also budget conscious)
Four bar front and rear
Tall whites
push pull steer etc etc.

Get the picture?
