Hi to everyone and yes I have tons of questions
First some introduction. My name is Mike, I'm 40 years old and I'm a car-aholic. Thinking of taking the plunge into the world of hotrods/streetrods. The style I like best I'll describe as "oldschool" The specific car I want to build is a 1927 Ford roadster highboy or track car. I have no idea where to start. Are there AFFORDABLE original bodies in decent shape available? Are there steel repro bodies available? If neither of the above who makes top quality fiberglass bodies? Next where's the best place to get a chassis? and finally (for now) I'd like to use a flat head Ford V-8 but have no clue where to find one. Please help !
Any and all suggestions are welcome and please be as specific as possible. Thanks in advance,
Mike

Welcome to CHR Mike. Hey we have something in common, not quite sure what it is yet, but I'm sure there is something. Oh ya, the first car I built was a 27 Ford Roadster.
There is a large group of very intelligent people in here that will answer just about any question you can come up with, and a few that you don't want to hear. Good luck with your project, and keeping this thread from being hy-jacked.Mike Casella

Hey Mike, and Welcome.
AFFORDABLE needs to be better defined my friend, you are talking a 27 Ford.
Rolling chassis is gonna set ya 'bout 6500 depending on the rear you choose. Fiberglass body complete will be about the same, also depending on the interior you choose.
Then you may want hubcaps & a radio, so that will be extra.
You could look at the ads here & dial 888-246-0900 & ask I might be wrong.Jim
