    New to forum

Hi all, I looked over the forum, and read several of the threads, before deciding that this looked like a great forum, to become a member.

I am 48 years old, married, 2 grown kids. I have been a big fan of rods, and muscle cars. My dream car, since childhood, was always an AC Cobra. (Older sisters boyfriend drove one) Looks like a kit may have to do, one day, as the originals are a "little" pricey.

I recently inherited my fathers 1980 Chev Malibu 2door. I have always liked the look of this model, and am thinking about "fixing" her up. She is as stock as you can get. 98,000 original kilometres. Runs pretty good for an old timer, just the way she is, but I think it would be really sweet to give her some rumble, and a new coat of paint.

I will have lots of questions, about engine swaps, interiors, suspension, etc. I look forward to the interactions.

    Bill

Ah, a fellow igloo owner from the North

Welcome to the site, theres a lot of cool people here.

For the 'Bu, what engine do you have now? 305?
Maybe it would be easier to build up another engine like a 350 or 400 SB, and throw it in when its done.... Or even better a crate engine if you can.

Glad to see I'm not the only canuck..eh?

I have to do some further research but I believe it may be the 267ci engine? Wasn't that the small V8 they had those years?
