Welcome to CHR, Beetle. Looking forward to some pictures and details on your project. Is it a '48 or a '49? There was a big style change between the two years!! Since your title says "Torpedo" I'm guessing '48.
Hoping that "rat rod" means a solid hot rod minus shiny paint and plush interior to you, and not a cobbled together mess that would fit Ralph Nader's book, Unsafe at any Speed.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Is that a Tucker 48 "topedo or a 1948 Pontiac Torpedo. The Tucker was super cool! but Pontiac would make for a cool ride too!
