Well it's my brothers shop, I am fortunate he is helping me out. He lives right next to the in-laws too and that is where the paint booth is at.

We did our full mock up and I finally got the cab blasted, saved me a lot of trouble doing it by hand and was worth the money. Didn't find anything too terrible under the paint, I think we already fixed the worst of it. Got some new headers showing up today so we can fix my clearance issues and make it easier to fix with any future problems, bunch of other stuff I need to get ordered (everything is costing more by the day it seems) but we are making progress.

I love a nice blasted finish, so nice to work with. The dude doing the blasting isn't wearing a hood, is that a water blaster so there's no dust?
Should be getting everything I need to paint this turd ordered this week, I need to get wheels down to powder coat when I get a chance, chrome should be done by end of the month? Still got to get out in my garage and work on the bed wood.
Here is how the new vs old headers look. Its the right thing to do, hate doing things twice.

This truck is going to look black on cloudy days and at night.

Gonna be an awesome color that really POPS in the sunshine!
love the color!
Thanks guys, I really like the color, hopefully shoot some test cars soon and switch shops for paint, wheels are done I need to go pick them up later this week, chrome is back too, not perfect but good enough for a garage build, you can see some of the imperfections of our fabricating, hood ornament stuff looks great, Bob Drake isn't reproducing them anymore.

Looking good even before you've put them on the truck.
My favorite "dog dish" cap, and the beauty rings set them off perfectly! Good Job!
I like those, planning to do something like that on my truck.
Thanks, I am going for an original look on the outside? I had these made by the wheel smith per the backspace I needed in 17x7 front and 17x9 rear, should fill up the fat fenders right and not have that weird gap that a lot of these trucks have, will also do a 1/8" spacer on the rear. Decided to just go with a satin black (same as chassis) instead of color matching the paint, the whole truck has a lot of black going on it. Tires and battery will be some of the very last things I buy.
Double checking the split bumpers still line up okay. Good enough for a garage build.
