Im susposed to say hi so hi

My real name is Justin I work a dealership in town as a toyota mechanic, If I was smart I would have stayed in school. Being a mechanic is pointless there is no money after you pay your snap on tool bill. Joking and some seriousness aside, I live on the Eastern Shore of MD where hot rods are easy to come buy if you know the right people. Right now I am restoring a 71 mustang coupe. The body is alright after I sandblast it I will know its true shape. I know Im gonna have to weld in some sheet metal know big thing. The interior is stripped. My motor is nothing special just a 72 302 interceptor motor I bought and pulled out of a 73 mach I. The tranny same deal just an FMX. I have the block torn apart. Only thing keepin is the heads, con rods, and crank. My project just began and will take a while. Im only twenty and what I make in a month is what most of yall older people make here in a week. Anyways I will keep posted on the project.

    paint striping can be worse

Paint stripping paint can be just as bad, a lot of times even worse after a thorough blast of fresh water, paint stripping residue stays in the cracks, when you go to shoot the car the blast on the cracks blows it out and can cause the paint to buble if not adhere right. Paint stripping even done right is very risky I choose to stere clear from it. When I sandblast I either use a fine grit, or backing soda, I generally dont go to bare metal. Just to a point where a good DA sander can pick up the rest in a couple days of sanding. I appreciate your comments but I just had to put my ten cents worth in. Also the distance affects whether your gonna blow holes in it, and also to me tells ya just how good the metal is in your body. Later.
