I was just kidding around, I really love what I do. It's actually kinda crazy any more. I am actually familiar with the CAN BUS system, ag has been using it for years now. Tractors usually have a minimum of 5 computers in them anymore and everything is as reliable as the weakest wire.

And there are a lot of weak wires on them. My friend has 3 case quadtracs and every harvest we end up putting at least one new harness on one of them some where on the tractor. It's a bad deal.

Three quadtracks, he must farm a lot of ground. Up here it mostly wheeled Steigers and Deeres, and almost nobody has more than one.

4000-4500 acres depending on how many fields they can get planted before it is too late. Their grain cart has tracks too. They just got a new one last year. I believe it is a 1500 bushel unit. They run 2 New Holland combines during harvest. Or try to. They have 4 petes and 4 hopper trailers. 2 of which are new wilsons with tags. Those are fun to pull. Most of the time there are only 2 semi drivers so they keep us hopping. 2 of the quadtracs do field work and the other pulls the grain cart. Plus they have a pretty big New Holland MFWA with duals all the way around that pulls 2 wagons.

Sounds like a big outfit, I worked at a CIH/New Holland dealership for about 15yrs. Now I work at an independent shop a few mile away from there and get a little more variety but still mostly newer stuff. I think this thread may have accidentally got hijacked by me, Sorry Mjeds. I'll stop now.
