there is nothing wrong with HAMB, and I am using it for information.. just don't post up that you are modernizing your car, as they will run you off with torches and pitchforks. . I'm a lot thicker skinned than most so their little game didn't phase me, but apparently I did get under the skin of some of the thinner skinned members by mentioning that the car I have has some Boyd wheels and is lowered.

As soon as you mention mustang 2, billet, or air bags, you'll be tagged and ignored. Haha

You might consider changing that 170 Tstat for a 190 now that the cooling issue is resolved.
I've seen Tech lecture often that a low temp T stat is bad..

But I believe the " Air Bag suspension " does have history going back long before Ryan thought of HAMB yet, like using a SBC in anything, it isn't political correct to some of those on the site. Independent suspensions have history too as do the Chrysler alternator yet one can be crucified for using one that looks almost identical in shape but smaller from an early Jappa. There is excellent guys on there build some amazing vehicles so I just spend time with those that ain't so anal.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

If you look back at things Smokey Yunick did, one was proving that the higher you can run your temperature in a CONTROLLED mode, the more efficiency you'll get from your fuel. It's in the heat of vaporization, and maximizing the mix with the incoming air. Boost it to 190 or 195 and you'll burn cleaner.
The irony is that most of those that are more anal, preaching how it was "...back in the day" have fathers who weren't born yet "back in the day". They'd have to go back to ask Granddaddy how it was "back in the day", and hope that Granddaddy was an evil hot rodder and not just cruising his Daddy's Chevy to the drive-in.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

The HAMB drags are coming soon, the 3rd Sat in August, at Mo-Kan dragstrip a few miles north of Joplin, Mo. If I get the Chance I might just wander down and have a look. Mo-Kan has been there since Christ was a corporal.Ken Thomas

Funny, given the theme of this site, I was picturing a 20 or 30s model Deere. But the computer challenge sounds fun. There has got to be hydraulics functions as well..
