Welcome aboard Capecreations you have found the best auto forum on the internet. One question how in the H--- do you keep your shop warm in the winter months? I was stationed on the Cape for 2 years in the Air Force and froze my tail off. I am now 77 and still looking for it.
I did enjoy the summers there both days.
Serious tho many knowledgeable people on this forum very willing to help. As said earlier Pic Pic Pic. Again welcome aboard from South Texas and like Uncle Bob said Yes ever thing is bigger here

Thank you sir for your service! We keep the shop warm with this astronomical gas bill lmao. That's bad ass that you are 77 years old and still on the forums here, I like that, I hope to be your age and still involved with the car scene. Hope Texas is treating you well and thank you for the welcoming comments!

I made one of the waste oil heaters from an old water heater tank, and need to get it fired up again with a dedicated chimney. Look at the old Mother Earth News links for plans.
One of the guys here who is a Master Tinkerer and Restorer of All Things (Mike P) explained one time the details of his little converted wood burner to waste oil, including a storage tank and waste oil hauler so he could collect from some of the locals. I found one picture of the converted stove, but the details aren't in this thread, which covers his '30s' shop pieces & parts, many recovered from the family property - My 1930's Farm Shop
I expect if you ask Mike would point to the earlier explanation, or maybe do a new thread?Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
Have a happy, happy time of it.
Happy Birthday Seth/ 53 Chevy5
