Greetings from Western Massachusetts
Hey everyone!
I just discovered the site recently, and had to sign up!
I'm greener than green when it comes to builds, and don't have the encyclopedic knowledge of parts and options that I'm sure many of you do, but, I've been passionate about Hot Rods, and drag racing, for as long as I can remember.
I've recently left my cushy, corporate retail job to persue my dream of restoring old, American classics. All aspects of this process fascinate me. From metal fabrication, to the mechanical and technical nuances that really set some builds apart.
I know you guys will be a wealth of knowledge and I look forward to any advice you can offer.
Also, if anyone in my area is looking for any help, I'm a very hard worker, that follows instructions well.
I'm only looking to learn everything I can. I'm not soliciting anyone for a job, just offering an extra pair of hands in exchange for knowledge.
Thanks for enduring this incredibly long post. I've only ever joined one other forum, and have never posted before.
Thanks,again!

gidday mate and welcome from new Zealand
you've set yourself a huge task but your doing the right thing by offering to help/hang around for nothing to gain knowledge.
that's how I learn't pretty much everything I know.i bought a welder and gas set and read the instructions and then cut and welded everything in sight until I got good at it
and I hung around other people building hotrods and soaked up their knowledge
theres a world of information out there on the internet !!
good luck.

Wiring can be a pain. My problem is I get in a groove and have a plan and then get sidelined to another project and when I come back I forget what the heck my plan was.
