    Hello from N. Georgia

After reading here for several months I've decided it's time to register and say hello. Love the site.
About me.......Avid reader and soon to be hot rodder. Several months back I bought a 1929 Ford Model A Standard Coupe.

I rebuilt the original carburator, pulled and cleaned the wheel bearings, repaired the brakes. The wife and I love to take it out on weekends. It's fun to drive......but......manual brakes and steering along with 21" bike tires make it a bit hairy to drive in today's traffic. So I will be looking to replace the motor, transmission, rear end, and wheels. Looking forward to meeting everyone and getting started.

Welcome to the forum, and glad you've decided to get active! The '29 will be a cool build, but I'd suggest that you do a lot of looking, reading, and deciding exactly where you want to end up with your build, then make a plan for everything you need to change to make it happen. With a good plan you can estimate costs, and provided you follow the plan you'll work to an end goal. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

That's the stage I'm in now. Of course the best laid plans of mice and men....... I do have a vision of how I want the car to look and run. Still working out some details. I do plan to start on this car some time in Jan.. Until then, here are some pictures of the car I'm working with.
