1934 Ford 5-window Coupe build from NE.
I just sold my 39 Dexluxe coupe that I had owned 50 years. I never had the guts to switch out the Flathead but I recently sold it so I could build a full fledged streetrod. (and a 34 Coupe was what I had back in 1957 and wanted to go back and try again)
I just purchased a nice all steel 34 5 window that the previous owner had for 20 years and most of the hard part (suspension, drivetran and motor are done.
Rust free body ~ I will post a picture soon.
This looks like a great site and excited to be a new member.

You bet Roger. I might be able to supply some helpful input..been around these old Fords quite a while. This is the one I let go after 50 years. That was not easy!!

Welcome Jack, we are a friendly lot here and like family so again, you will enjoy your stay. Heck, I bet a more then a few tears flowed when the '39 Coupe departed after 50 years. I will look forward to following along with your progress too and I will mention, we love photos, and they don't have to be all car related, we enjoy cat, dog and even grand kid photos...
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Welcome Jack, I can almost tell how you're feeling after selling your '39 after 50 years... I've sold two like that but not close to your record and i still miss them to this day... It will be good to jump back into the fire so to speak and start a new build, it should help you take your mind off the '39...(a little).. can't wait to see some pictures..You don't know what it is to love a car until you build one.

The 39 was awesome and I cannot imagine having a car for 50 years! And sharing pics of this new build already?? You're on the right track for sure!

Decided on a topcoat for the car. PPG Ditzler Hot Rod Black... supposidly designed to replicate the glory days of street rods. (I am after the 50's look)

well I decided to do another mod to gain max travel of bars past the intended travel points just for that peace of mind. 1/8 inch is to close so now I'll have 1/2" or better. I cut a 3/16" wall...
