Hello from Reno
Just checking in from Reno NV. Just getting back into all this Hot Rod stuff after a 15 year break. Just bought a 34 Ford 3 window coupe. Looking forward to learning all I can, and just maybe if I can start remembering some of what I used to know, I can help some out here also.

Welcome, Whylee. Good luck with your '34 coupe and I'm looking forward to seeing pics of it.
Coincidentally, I was in Reno last week on business. Perhaps I emitted some hot rod vibes when I was there and that inspired you to get back into itNick

Welcome to CHR, Whylee. Is your '34 glass or steel? Not that it matters, just wondering, and also as Dave asked is it a done deal or a project car? Again, doesn't matter here, but we DO need to see proof of ownership via posting a full compliment of pictures!!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Some would say its finished, but not me. Its a TCI chassis, mustang II front end, Minotti's glass body, Ford 9in rear and a chevy ZZ4 350. Its the way I bought it, but not the way its going to stay. My dream car needs a supercharger, so im already planning that portion of the modding.
I need to ditch the 58cc chamber heads and come up with some good heads for it, then I can install the Weiand 177 supercharger thats sitting on my bench. I also need help with finding a throttle linkage setup for it. I still need to keep the Turbo 350 tranny kick down cable hooked up.

whylee,
in case you need some reinforcement for that TH350, I got all the parts to beef up mine from Jake's Performance (the Stage II setup, except the B&M nitrous hole shot converter) and I'm very happy with all the Jake's parts and service was awesome, too.Nick

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
