    New but slightly abused

Hey guys and dolls, I'm fresh to the site and have enjoyed what i have read and seen so far. just a quick intro of myself. I'm 37, live in dearborn, MI, married with a 9 month old son, just sold my 51 Pontiac Chieftain Streetmachine. I'm kicking myself right now.

looking to eventually get into a 68 Dodge Coronet R/T, 66 coronet 500, or plymouth 67-70 GTX. Yea, I'm into the Mopars. I would settle for others like a 62-63 Chevy Impala SS 409, ect. but those are my short wish list. trying to dig up some money.

So there you go, now you know who I am and what I'm interested in as far as cars.

Racer Welcome to CHR. I'm not really into mopar myself, but I've had a few with no problems. I'll go along with you on the 409. That was a motor!

Chevy, hi ya, yea I do love those 409 impala's. I first fell in love with them when I was visiting a friend and down the street i could see this fire engine red rear end sticking out of a garage door, so naturally, I had to investigate. Come to find out that this guy was flushing out the engine block of this 63 Impala SS 409. Beautiful!! flawless red paint, bright chrome, perfect interior with power windows and a 4 speed. Dang! I said, I have to have one of those.

The kicker was that the guy who owned it had inherited it from his uncle along with a black one! And to top that off, this dork didn't know the difference between a pipe wrench and cresent wrench. How's that for a kick in the teeth.

Some people have all the luck

Hey firechicken, my wifes uncle has a 68 firebird 400 convertable. straight and rust free just needs a little TLC to bring her back to her old glory. Unfortunately he is a bit conpulsive and drags his when it comes to getting anything done on the car. I wish I had it.

Racer Know what you mean by someone getting something and not knowing what to do with it. I had a 65 chevy supersport with a 327 which was ok, but I seriously considered putting a 348 engine in its place. Wound up putting the 348 in my 41 Ford Pickup. Boy did she move!

He also has 70 T/A Ram Air III. It's been in pieces for 8 years. He can't seem to move past painting every single nut and bolt. he paints them then sands them, then repaints them. I don't know what he's think. I seriously think he's obsessive compulsive. Maybe he needs a better game plan or at least a major kick in his ass.

    It just kills me.
