    New Guy From VA

    Hi all,

A new guy from VA that is just checking in. I'm kind of new to the world of hot rods. I have restored muscle cars and I have been into cars all my life.

I'm thinking of a T bucket build or buying a 56 Ford Wagon. Either way what ever car I do it will be a driver, no more show filed cars for me. I'm tired of worrying weather or not the paint is chipped. I want to drive and have some fun.

I look forward to talking with everyone and learning more about the hot rod world.

Thanks everyone and as soon as I get a car and project going I will be posting it up.

The wagon is a 4 door but I have a vision in my head of what I would like to do it. I would leave it as a 4 door and make it have a stop look to it but sitting down low with white walls.

I thought about going with 67-68 Mustang buckets seats or one of Fords other cars for buckets. I would run a long console to the back seat and have two or three buckets in the back. I would also put air vents in the console and maybe over head. I also thought about putting a wood floor in the trunk area to dress it up a bit.

The T bucket the only plans on it is I want ti black with red interior and red wheels with white wall tires. I'm also thinking maybe a tan leather looking bomber seat.

Everything has to wait a little until im out of school for good this summer and back to work full time.

    Hey Welcome to CHR, CoronetRT!!!

The 56 Ford wagon sounds cool!! For buckets you could also look at the early Tbirds (58-66) or Galaxie XL (63-64). Some of those cars has pretty cool consoles, too.

Hey thanks. Also thanks on the bucket seat info, I didnt even think of the T birds or the Galaxies. We have a Mustang parts place here that sells other Ford car parts as well. Auto Krafters, not sure if they still sell used parts or all new now. We used to have Virginia Mustang but it might be out of business now.

I do love wagons...but I also have a thing for T buckets lol. WHo knows I might end up building two hot rods or tucking one away for that rainy day.
