    alright thanks the plan for the mustang is more up to my dad. it has a 289. i want make sure i have the best plan for my money. i would of never of know all this if i didn't ask the hotrodders on CHR. so change of plan. scratch the bbf in the stang. now my new plan option A is get the 5 pointer option B do a mild build on the 289.

    A 289 is a great engine, that is until you get to mating with auto transmissions. As a suggestion, find a good 302 block and build from there as every other item will interface easily with the chassis. If it's a 3/4 speed, go to it. As much as a 351W would sound good too, they have some width problems in an early 'stang's shock towers
