    Hello all,
My name is John and I'm mostly in to goofy sleeper builds like a '78 Buick Regal with a mildly built 350 or a '59 bug eye with a turbocharged 3.8 L. I'm trying to get rid of '76 TA/455 and starting an '82 F150 with a 5.0HO. I've been into cars since I was a kid and I feel the most comfortable around other car people. I'm mostly here to learn and hang out with like minded folks.

Welcome, there used to be a sleeper VW beetle around. Looked fairly stock, just a little wider tires in back and dark tinted glass. When you opened the door you could see the back half of a built 327. The driver sat in the back seat. Basically a tube chasis, he did use the beetle front end. I'll bet it got hot in there though. Never did see it run personally, but heard it was bad ass. There is alot of good guys around here, you can pick up quite a bit. I know I have. Good luck on your project, and again Welcom Aboard....

Welcome. Love the sleepers too. If you get a chance check out this months car craft. There is a cool sleeper malibu in there. Looks stock down to the dog dish hub caps and the 307 badges on the fenders but is running a turbo engine, Really cool. Welcome! Don Jr.
