    whats up everybody? about jramsey89

    Hey everybody,
I just joined last week. Here's what I'm all about. As far as hot rodding goes I've always enjoyed it (family tradition). I took a year of auto-tech in high school and got an associates in auto-body after. I know a little but I have a lot to learn. I was planning on getting a job in the auto industry but I may keep it as a hobby now.
My first vehicle was an 85 Chevy c10 that my dad gave me. I went with my dad to get it in 93 when I was 3. I still own it but I don't drive it. I will get it fixed up when I have a place to work on it and the money to do it right. Its just one of those vehicles with a books worth of stories.
Next vehicle was a 67 Beetle. That thing was a nightmare but I still loved it. I sold it a couple years ago because I'm not a fan of scraping ice off of the INSIDE of the windows in the winter, and holding a cigarette lighter heater up to the windshield while driving so I can see.
I currently drive an 87 Chevy pickup that was my grandpa's truck. Its in fair shape and it runs good so I can't complain. I also have a Kawasaki KZ550 but I crashed it last year (the dog lived too) so its not up and running right now.
Other than that, I'm in the gym every day which I think is important. I have surrounded myself with great people and I'm enjoying life.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I used to have a 67 or so VW beetle. It had a 1 cyl 4 stroke little motor in the trunk for a heater/defroster. Stunk like crazy and poored black smoke out of the exaust in the front fenderwell when you fired the heater up.

    Fun car though, Welcome.

You mean to say you had a gas heater up front?
