I saw your "inspiration" car (or one nearly identical to it) on the way to the NSRA nationals in about '77 or '78
. We stopped either for gas or lunch (too long ago to remember) and it was at the same exit. It drove by as I was getting out of my car and my camera was out of reach at that moment. I figured I'd get a pic of it at the Nats, but I never saw it again.
It is/ was one cool ride.
The body you are using looks like the Dave Koorey body that I am using on my track-T. Mine does not have the opening right door, but from what I can see, even the floor reliefs are identical. I wonder if Herman's and Koorey used the same buck to make their molds..?
Anyway, this will be a fun build to watch. Keep those pics coming.

It is very simular to the Koorey body that you are using though mine doesn't actually have the reliefs or a floor. If I had found the body that you are using I would have bought it instead as my preference would have been no opening doors. That said the Hermans body is very sturdy and nicely finished.

I will take a pic of the inside next time at the shop
Kool is cool
