    Another newbie

    Hi everyone,
I'm a snowbird living in Brooksville Florida during the winters and a little town in upstate NY called Cornwallville. Am enjoying all the cruises down here in Fl and want to get involved instead of being a spectator. I am planning on building a ratrod and I am looking for some decent vehicle to start with down here. I might be buying a 53 Chevy 2 door that needs lots of work but am a little sceptible about the work involved to install a SBC. Anyway I am looking forward to reading the forum.
    Tom

    installing a sbc

if you are mechanically inclined, the sbc swap is pretty simple and straight forward. mounts, tranny crossmember, right length driveshaft. if not, nothing wrong with cruising an inline if you car comes with a good running one. I'd rather roll with a 6 than not roll at all. good luck

Actually the deal fell thru and instead I got a 35 Ford truck and 48 Chevy Aero. Thanks for the input.
