randyr, That little sedan has a 351 W and a C-4 Tranny. I guess I should not blame Ford altoghether for this as I am sure some of it is my fault. I just don't understand this motor and there seems to be a new problem everyday. Some of those problems are just not related to the motor tranny problems but the ones that are make it a miserable little car.

Protected people will never know or understand the intensity life can be lived at. To do that you must complettly and totally understand the meaning of the word "DUCK"

.......an engine with a carb and distributor, be it Ford, Chebbie or any other make is nothing but a big air pump that has a set of spark plugs to make an air fuel mixture burn to turn a long shaft that eventually turns a wheel-tire combo to make the car go down the road. Sometimes that combo, it's doomed to daily pain and eventual destruction no matter how much loving care, money, gifts of premium liquids and attention you give it - just like some ladies I have known in the distant past
