    Hi Folks

Another FE fan here, but haven't played with my car for a long time.

It's a 67 XR7 GT 390 Cougar, standard bore, with an old .600" lift Greg Foreman grind, 428 SCJ heads, Offy manifold, 2 1/8" Hooker headers, C-6 with a 3500 stall, and a locker with 4.57's, but parked it with a rod knock.

I also have a 68 F250 4x4 with a 428, Shelby 427 manifold, with cast iron headers, and forget what cam.

A member from the 460ford board posted on a site I visit asking about Type lV info, and invited everyone to come and visit, but I ended up here. And no I have nothing against the 460, I just never played with them. I did play with the SB some.

Well it looks like another nice place to come and visit and get info. So will probally lurk for a while...

Welcome to the forum. Probably time to jerk that motor out of there and get it running, don't you think? We'd love to see an FE build going on, so you're elected.

Also, we want lots of pictures.

Hi Don and thanks for the welcome.

And I agree, it's been long overdue to do something to it. I had collected some parts at one time for a repair, but was as far as I had gotten.

I had picked up a 391 forged truck crank, with the idea from an article I came across, of offset grinding it down to the 400 SBF jrl size, and taking the stroke out to around 4", and use the 400 rods. But will have to find the article now and re-research everything again.

I would be happy to to do pic's when I start working on it.

And I want to thank you for electing me, a Newbe to post a build...

That's why we put Don in charge of Enlistment. He gets things done. I'm pretty sure he builds a car a month.
    Welcome aboard Richard.

Welcome Richard! Just drop the pan, wrap an old leather belt around that knocking rod bearing and torque in down. Should be good for at least a few more runs. Seriously, lets see some pics. The early Cougars were some great looking machines.
