If I went with a Mark VIII donor, how much is a running 390 worth? I did a quick local search and found there had been a Mark VIII for sale for 1800 as recent as last month. Any particular years I should stay away from (cam changes, problems)?

'93 to '97, emphasis on the '97.
I might put the 390 on craigslist starting at $750, explaining that it would cost more than that to rebuild an old 390 core AND THIS ONE IS RUNNING GOOD!!!!!!!!!! Only 77,000 original miles on the motor!!!!!!!!
Drop it $100 a week until it goes away.
I would list it every possible way to get more hits....
390, 360, 427, 410, 406, 428, 352, 330, FE, Lincoln, Ford, Low Miles, and any others you can think of.....
