    Greetings from Wales

    Hi Everyone,
Rodder in my youth - normal stuff along the way - but now want to get back in - age 54, real steel in the UK - no chance, GRP therefore the only way to go. Keep watching as I have decided that during the recession (depression ?) I can best spend my time in my very small garage and build the rod I always wanted and not venture out on holidays and wining and dining -what do you think of my strategy?

Welcome to the forum. My Grandmother was Welsh.........maybe that's why she loved Tom Jones.

I like your method of surviving the recession. It's the same one I am using.

Welcome to the forum! My wife has some Welsh heritage too, maiden name is Jones, no relation. We visited Wales a while back, wind almost blew us off a hilltop after visiting a shale mine. Keep us posted on your project, your plan sounds like a good one to me.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Welcome to the forum. My grandfather was Welsh and Thomas is definitely a Welsh name.
What sort of rod are you going to build?

Welcome - hope the garage has room for a small fridge as it would be a shame to work without the possibility of a pint now and then!

Keep us informed and post a picture now and then!

Welcome to CHR! Can't say that I've Welsh in my ancestory, because we were simply bloody English. But it's all the same island. Now of course after, more than 300 years we are just your run of the mill WASP Americans.

Sounds like a damn good plan to me. So what exactly do you have in mind as a finished product?

Welcome to the board ............ love the "English" Fords ........... mine is not all steel, the nose is fiberglass and the rear doors are, of course, aluminum

It's undergoing a full rebuild at the moment

    Again ............. glad you're here
