    Hey from KS

Hey everyone. I grew up around cars, mainly Hudson and AMC, which explains why I like what I do. I am building an 80 Spirit right now that I put a 360 in this year. The air cleaner was 1/4 in too high so I had to cut a hole in the hood and just finished the fabrication on the hood scoop. I am pretty happy with how that turned out. I will hopefully be installing the hood pins and finish filling the side marker light holes over Christmas break. I have two holes in the floor to fix before starting the body work. I hope to have her back on the road by summer so that I can start the next project.
I got a 38 and 40 Chevy pickup cab for Christmas the other week and would like to make an extended cab with them. I will be looking for some type of box and want a Hudson tailgate for it. I will probably be using the bumpers off my Nash and will need to find some type of grill for it. It will be powered by a 401.
And then when that is done, I have a 40 Nash. I sold my Javelin for this car because I always wanted to build a street rod. It has a 304 sitting in it and a 79 Camaro sub frame. I put this one on the back burner because I wanted more experience before I tackled her. I plan on putting a tilt front end on her and don't want to ruin any body parts because they are hard to come by.
Those are my projects and hope to enjoy driving one and have the truck well on its way by the end of 2009. We will have to see what the finances says because I work on a very low budget, but I have fun with what I do.

Welcome to the forum. Spirit is a cool little car. I bought one for the wife in '82 (80 model) and the oldest daughter got T-boned by a drunk a couple of years later, something my wife has never let her forget as she really loved that little car.

I tried to post a link to a photo album on facebook and I cannot get that to work. So I think I have to resize for here and figure out how to post pics individually. When it comes to computer technology, I tend to be an old dog and don't like new tricks.
