Hi from New Zealand
Hi from New Zealand.
My name is Greg Stokes and I sell advertising and shoot features for the New Zealand Hot Rod Magazine at www.nz-hotrod.com
I grew up into rodding and have just finished a 29 Model A Closed Cab pick up at http://www.nz-hotrod.com/vbulletin/s...ead.php?t=1643
And I am also building a 32 Hiboy roadster with a 283 and 4 speed with a Halibrand diff, Buick brakes, Halibrand front wheels and ET III rear wheels.
Also building a chrome moly frame front engine dragster with a blown and Hilborn injected alcohol Model A four cyl flathead motor.
I used to write for Street Rodder magazine and my work has appeared in CK Deluxe.
My boss, Paul Grace built a 34 Ford Pick up at http://www.nz-hotrod.com/vbulletin/s...ead.php?t=2151
Looking forward to meeting some great rodders on here.
Greg Stokes

Welcome aboard Greg. We've got a few other Kiwi's that hang here as well. I guess the new roadster will be a 4+4.

Welcome to the site! I suppose you have seen a LOT of well built rods but I am still amazed at the quality of the builds on this site and am learning a lot from other members. Since your seasons are off-set from the Northern Hemisphere, maybe you can show open cars and meets there while the folks above the equator hunker down in the winter and vice versa. No doubt the folks here like pictures! Just for nostalgia, I would like to learn more about a modern dragster using a Model A block as far as internal oiling and crank balance. I know it can be and has been done but Model C crankshafts are mighty rare so how are you doing it?
