I have a 1991 Ranger that originally had a 4.0L in it that seized up. Got the truck for nothing, and did a 4.0 to 2.9L swap using a Bronco II as a doner for the wiring harness and the ECU. The motor came from another vehicle that liked to die, so I left the ECU from that out and just used the one from the Bronco II.

Now I'm getting rough idle and it does not want to drive smooth, so if it is going to be something major, it is time for another vehicle, pull the 2.9 out and visit the 302 swap thread that I bookmarked some time back.

I am currently in IA, heading back to AZ, so will not be far from Desert Valley Auto, just a full days trip to make it worthwhile.

Heading out to be a truck driver, so I will be in and out, with subscriptions to threads so I do not forget what I posted on lol.
