New Guy from the Redwoods of Northern CA

Just found this place a few weeks ago, and I guess I had better post an intro, since I already posted a few photos in the "VW Hot Rods" thread.
My name is Dave, and I live in the redwoods of Northern CA.
I used to work for both the VW Magazines that were published in the US, and have had more VWs than I can honestly remember.. I sold all but one of them to help fianance a move to Nor Cal, where I can see the CA Gray Whales going by from our top story balcony (as of yesterday, too...) With the selling of 10 of my 11 VWs, and hitting the San Diego Real Estate market just right, my wife and I were able to pay off the loan on the house in Sandy Eggo, buy some property that is about 500 feet (and about 100 feet down) from the Ocean, and build a Ocean View home, that by the time we opened the front door, we owned it free and clear, no house payment.
Anyway, I kept one VW for old time's sake, a '57 Oval sunroof with a fire-breathing 2017cc engine, Weber 48 IDA carbs, real EMPI Rader wheels, disc brakes, blah, blah, blah, and am currently working on a 1926 Model T Tudor (hence the screen name) that so far, has a TCI Model A chassis, Chevy Vortec 4.3 V-6/TH350, Maverick V-8 rear, hairpins front and back, Malibu discs in front, Super Bell 4 inch dropped axle/Posie's Super Slider spring,Tru-Spoke wires, and some other stuff, that I am slowly working on. Rather than post it again, you can look on the (current) last page of the "VW Rat Rod" thread, and see photos of the Model T...

Welcome from a fellow newbie! Guess I need to keep you on tap for the build on my sons 74 Superbeetle project. 4.3 v-6 up front, chopped folding top, straight axle front... Looks like a cool place to hang out and make new friends!
