Actually I am considering building a highboy roadster after I retire. Only difference between your desire and mine, is I plan on doing it after relocation to FLORIDA!!!!!
You might want to consider doing the same. If you really like the Midwest, you could always be a snowbird. Florida could always use one more snowbird. Ain't that right Don???

You are closer to truth than you know - my wife is already talking about trips to warmer places in a few years.
