New guy...
Hello I'm Chad Kelly. My show car used to be a 68 Camaro until a mechanical failure caused me to wrap it around a telphone pole about a week ago. Important thing is that my girlfriend and I had very minor injuries. But I'm sure some may be interested so here's the story. My girlfriend and I were going to a cruise night and as we pulled out of a parking lot the throttle return spring decided to snap. When I realized the throttle was stuck I slapped the throttle like an idiot trying to get it to come back. The car was controllable until it hit second then we were basically along for the ride. By looking at the car everybody figures the impact was about 50mph into the drivers door. We were trapped in the car for approx. 40 while the local fire dept tried to cut us out. I was air lifted to the hospital and she was taken by ground. We were both treated and released a few hours later, her with a few bruises and sore neck, me with the same along with some stitches and staples.
I've come to this site because I'm planning for my next car to be a glass 34 or 37 Ford. I'm hoping the members of this site will be able to advise me of which bodies to look at and which to stay away from as well as give advise on the rest of the build.
Sorry for the long first post.
Chad
