    Just wanted to say hello

I recently bought a house and while moving uncovered my old pickup project. I realized it is time to get going on that thing so hopefully on the next move I can drive it over to the new house.

Project is a 48 Chevy Pickup. Needs a lot of love but if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. I hope to get some ideas and some motivation from the site. Thanks.

Welcome to the site, 48fun. What are your plans for the pickup?

Well, it has a Camaro subframe in it and a 350/350 combo. I just want to get it together and driveable and then go from there. I wouldn't mind just having a clean reliable truck to enjoy. Unfortunately, at this point, money is more dictating what I do.

Hey 48fun, Welcome aboard. I've had several '48 Chevy trucks. I think the best ride and handling was on the ones with the camaro sub frame. I'm currently driving (and working on) a '48 GMC. This one has a '78 dodge aspen front end. I just got through rebuilding the front end and now about to redo the rear suspension. Well enough about me. Good luck with your project 48. You'll find plenty of help and advice on this web site. They've sure helped me. TTommy

Thanks guys, I am sure I will be asking a lot of questions once I start getting deeper into things.
