Hi my name is Damien and I am 16. I own a 83 mazda RX-7 and on sunday my dad was telling me about his old bucket t and it sounded really cool. It had wide tires in the back and 800hp so he suggested we can build one. And it looks like a cool thing to build. (When I get my G1 I hope soon I get to drive it ) So I am here so see any cool ideas or body types out there. we are going to put fenders on it because you cant drive it when it rains.(to much water spray) But I am gust saying that me and my dad mite build a bucket t. Or do they call it now rat rods.

Welcome to the forum. Oh yes you can drive a fenderless car in the rain. I did it daily for 7 years, and Florida doesn't have rains, it has downpours. I have driven through rains where I couldn't see the car in front of me on numerous occasions.

Good luck with your build, glad to see you and your Pop doing it together.

Ok, that's different, if it is a law there. We have no fender laws here (and few others either ) so you see tons of T buckets and rods without them.

We are going to start putting my one Sons T bucket together, and I am trying to get him to do some posts on it. Maybe there will be something there for you to look at.

Welcome to CHR Damien.. Sounds like a great project for you and your Dad to take on. Lots of good help and design suggestions for buckets here, lot of us either have or have had one over the years.... Probably the best first time Hot Rod there is to build, too. Have fun.

You need to check out Don's thread on his T bucket (Project $3k) he's too modest to tell you this himself, but it's probably the coolest bucket I ever seen and it's only 1/2 done.
