I've owned the T-Bird since 12/67. When I pulled the stock 312 out of the Bird back in 04/69 I got a hell of a lot static from the guys in the T-Bird club. At that time it got a built 390 with a 406 tri-power, a T-10 4-speed, and a 57 wagon 9" rear. Since then it's had the 390, two 427's ( the 2nd one made the big input top loader and 31 spline axles necessary. Back in 73, I blew the 427 up. So it went away, and the stock 312 went back in. ( NO FUN TO DRIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) It was stored untill 86 when I built the 400M. I put it the top loader and 9" rear back in. ( FUN TO DRIVE AGAIN !!!!!! )
The model A, I've owned since 07/71. That fall my 65 Mustang got a little drunk, missed a corner, and rolled. It didn't take long to figure out that the engine and trans belonged in the model A. Fall of 73 found the A being stored. There it sat untill about 6 months ago. At that time I moved it into my new shop and the fire got rekindled.
Life kind of got in the way for a few years.
Tha Wasp (aka) Tom
