    Post Eyes Intro...

    Just checking in here...

I just bought (3 weeks) ago a new project for myself and my two little boys. (Time to learn...)

I bought a 1969 Ford Galaxie 500 (I am technically third owner) but the second only had for a couple fo weeks due to inheritance...

A gentleman that bought this car new in 69 or 70 passed away and [long story, short] I have it now.
    • it has a Big Block 390
    • perfect interior. PERFECT!
    • straight body with all the original chrome
    • Only 94,5000 original miles on it.
I needs a fresh paint job and a little body due to a little rust on the rear quarters along the bottom on both sides of the wheels... Other than that and whatever I decide to do with the engine, it's ready to go...

Oh' I already added Chrome Craigers and tires... (Kept original tires and caps of course...)

    Here it is...

I reside in Franklin, IN (Indianapolis) and when I'm not running a business or three here locally I tend to spend some time "Get'n it done" in the Land'o'sand (Southwest Asia) either with a private security contractor or in uniform with the United States military...

I look forward to hearing any advice from those that frequent these forums and I thank you in advance.

    BA

    Welcome to CHR
Did you find the Ford in the Indy area. If so it must have been in a garage somewhere. No car lasts that long around here.

    Yep, it was always garaged...

I found it on a used lot that had agreed to sell it on consignment when I was down in that area eating some Greek food for lunch...

If I told you what I paid for it you would crap...

Really a nice find, and you are going the right route with the wheels. We see so many guys get these cool older cars and the first modification they make is to put like 30 inch wheels on it. The Cragars are a perfect period fit for the look.

Eyes Great looking 69. I also like those wheels and not the big ones. Nothing over 16" is fine with me.
Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

very nice my friend, no bling bling is a good thing! it is great to find a deal like that. i found my t-bird in an old airplane hanger and the guy never touched it. i expressed my interest in the car and he happily gave me the keys for a very modest price. i did promise him a ride when she was all done and we talk about the car every now and then. he just never made the time for the car and he is happy to see me make the time. good luck to you and please keep me posted on whats new with your ride!
