new guy
my name is mike davis i like old trucks mainly studebaker pickups i also have owned a 64 studebaker avanti that i restored rfom the ground up had to sell it i have owned older ford cars and trucks i have a wife in a wheelchair and i also own a 83 amc eagle that needs a auto trans i also own a 71 f250 stepside i also own a 77 b600 bus that i bought for 100.00 because i needed something to drive i like caddilac commercial cars .hearses .flower cars.those are caddillac pickups i used to have a 66 caddillac hearse it was a very cool car my wife loved it i also had a 61 econoline pickup i liked it a lot

Mike, welcome to CHR. Liking Studebaker doesn't make you all bad. I kind of like'em myself. 53 shortbed is what I am looking for on my next little project.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
