    New and young

Hey everybody I am very glad that i found this site. I am 18 years old and love cars and everything about them atlesat old cars anyways the newer ones all look the same to me atleast. I have recently decided that I dont want to be a doctor anymore and that I would rather work on cars for the rest of my life so I am goign to go a school where I can learn the skills I need to be successful. I am from Kenosha, Wisconsin not the best place for old cars and customs cause we salt the hell out of the roads and only really get 4 months of good driveing in. I bought my first car when I was 14 years old a 71' AMC Javelin SST I just recently sold it and want to get into hot rodding. I am just a poor boy though that works all the time so I know it may be years before I finish my first because I will need to work to make the money to pay for it. And the biggest thing I hate about the classic car world is those that trailer their car everywhere and those that pay way to much money for a car that is just going to sit in their garage for a year or two and then return to the barret jackson or some other auction block. These tihngs were meant to be driven and driven hard at that, otherwise would god have given us a brain and an imagination to make our dreams.

I agree with BTD. There are many kinds of Doctors. If you have the desire you can do both! I don't know what kind of Doctor you are wanting to be but remeber a Surgeon is specialized kind of mechanic!

Welcome to the forum, and good luck whatever you decide. From 18-28 you might change your mind several times, most do.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Welcome to CHR. Whatever direction you decide to go, school is a very necessary step towards getting there. Enjoy your time at CHR.
