    just another newby

    G'day,

Yeah I've just recently signed up on this forum, hence the new members bit....

I Live in the Northern Territory in Australia, I am currently 5000kms from my first and only rod, a traditional Model A hiboy roadster pickup, it's not flash, still has the 4 banger in it, but it does run twin carbs, I havn't driven it much as I left town about 4 days after finishing the car, oh well thems the brakes, I did take it to our Nationals though.

I fit into the 20 - 29 age bracket in Bobs Age Poll, I've been into rodding since I was 14 and my first ride in a Model A Tudor!

Catcha round, sorry I don't have a pic of the pu, the only ones I have are huge in size.....

Thanks, hey if this is Wally World I'll fit right in....

May be you could just slice some cutouts in the side of the T then u wouldn't need doors

I've got the front sheetmetal from a 33 vauxhall, which a rodder gave to me when I was in my mid teens, to quench the 'need' to have some vintage tin. I sat it on a 29 dodge chassis and pieced together a C-Cab with pine and Chipboard, it was a bit of fun, but only lasted a week or two, before Dad wanted his shed back! he he
I'm quite partial to the ole C-Cab, it's about time they did the rounds,

Hey Outback, welcome to CHR. I think the ol' C-Cabs are neat lookin' too, if they're done right. So your dads a carpenter eh, well he'd appreciate this C-Cab I saw at a show a couple of years ago. The woodwork is just beautiful and the whole thing was very well done.

Great looking rig Outback. Its refreshing to see some one hop up the old 4 banger and not just puttin' in a chevy small block and tranny.

As a matter of fact yes it is a Roller bearin'd squirel cage. but we call em possum cages over here, we aint got no squirel's....

And to make it go real fast, I got a couple of double overhead fox tails, dang, I gotta get me some aerials to stick em on hmmm

I know a fast 4 banger Model A is an oxy-moron but hey let me
live my little dream, and be proud when I can beat the ole Massey Ferguson in a race

BTW the hop I was talking about wasn't the stuff in my pipe.....

A fast model a four banger isnt an oxymoron, ive seen a top end model a rail go 120mph. Mind you hed adapted a later model chevy muncie 4spd trans, had high rear end gears and that little (200ci) motor was a screamer. It had three chevy 1 barrels, split exhaust, aluminum rods and pistons but still had babbit main bearings.
