theres some incredibly expensive stuff here but its cool to look at like model A hemi head conversions and ohv conversions. 5 main bearing and balanced cranks, split exhausts and multiple carb setups. I found these sites after i bought a 1930 A motor last year for a hot rod i havent even built yet! LOL

Awesome site! I couldnt believe that Lions High compression head though, an increase from 40 to 66hp with a stock motor! I convinced myself since im never gonna be able to get anything done with all these projects draining me, im gonna put my "T" project up for sale and start gathering parts to build an "A'. Hey maybe ill take and post some pics of it up here to show ya before it goes up on the auction block.

I'd love to see some pics of the T, I rekon that that'd be a great project, with the 6cyl, etc. it'd be a great way in!

The guy over here who put me onto the SOSS is into A bangers and has a real nice Tudor, droped Axel. lowered stock susp, with a reasonably hot banger. A nice lookin car...
There's not many blokes over this way into the 4 banger stuff, and everything is expensive esp if you havta get it out of the States.

I've heard of using a 1920's chev ohv head and adapting it to an A banger, it sounds interesting.... The SOSS guy Charlie Yapp, was remaking some ohv heads a few years back, I think they may have been winfields, but I'm not sure....

Actually, fast 4 bangers were popular once upon a time. Anyone remember the super beetle? the very small Gremlin? Origionally not fast, but with a head shave and a header........ Anyway, with patience, anything can be accomplished. Oh, and nice to see a focused newbie. Good havin ya here outback.
