Hi Home Brew, Welcome. I'm like you, love those big Olds engines and have shoved them into a few cars over the years.

The serial number thing was pretty dicey in the old days, sometimes it was where it was supposed to be and sometimes not. You might be able to contact some Nash restorers group and get accurate info. but I would start right in front of the firewall on the drivers side. I've seen numbers there on some old cars, so maybe Nash did it that way too.

These Nashes are sort of large cars, aren't they? I sort of remember a rod test of one in maybe Rod and Custom years ago, and they were bigger than Fords or other cars of the era. Great find. Post more pix as you go, we would love to follow along with your build.
