New to this site from FL
Howdy. Came upon this site during a search for 351 Windsor Ford info, and am pleased to come on board. Am currently working two projects (car wise, anyway), those being a '67 Chevy C10 stepside, soon to get a rebuilt shortblock, and my long neglected '68 Mustang coupe, with a factory installed leftover 289 ( everyone tells me it's not supposed to be there, that the 302 was introduced that year. Well, it was... but Ford wasn't going to just ashcan remaining 289s).
Seems to be a helpful group here, wasn't any real "trolling" going on in threads I visited.
Will of course contribute where I can. Used to be REAL big into FE Fords, still have some major stuff that I've not decided to sell yet. We'll see.
Anyhow, thanks for havin' me in.

Welcome from another West Coast rodder to another.
Yes, the 289 was installed in some '68's, we owned one. My Ex-wife bought it brand new off of the trailer for $ 2800.00. It was gold with a C stripe, 289/C-4 , black interior and dog dish hubcaps. After we married I transplanted a 351 C with toploader 4 speed and 4:88's into it, with a bunch of mods. She never forgave me for messing up her first new car, but man would that car haul.
Enjoy the forum, you will find a lot of nice people here. We keep scaring the women away, but are trying to become more civilized.

Heck, Florida used to go clear to to the Mississippi River. So, why not a Florida Cowboy? Unfortunately, somehow they lost part of it to Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.
Just what we need . . . another Blue Oval boy. At least you own a Chevy.
There have been a lot of questions about Ford motors lately. If you've got the experience, pitch in your two cents. All I know is Chevys and Pontiacs.
The 67 Stepside should make a great ride. I liked 67s so much, I put one of their hoods on my 72. Of course, I eventually broke down and sold it.
Dang. The more I look at that photo, the more I realize I should have chopped it . . . but that's another thread.Jack

(Florida) Cowboy!!
I know, it sounds funny, but I just learned recently that Florida is one of the largest cattle producing States in the Country. I don't know where they hide them, but I rarely see a cow anywhere. Maybe they are indoor cows.

As a hobby I keep ten beehives. My queen bees are now getting older and slowing down, so I ordered ten more queens from an apiarist. They arrived, but there were eleven arrived in their containers....
