Welcome from another West Coast rodder to another.
Yes, the 289 was installed in some '68's, we owned one. My Ex-wife bought it brand new off of the trailer for $ 2800.00. It was gold with a C stripe, 289/C-4 , black interior and dog dish hubcaps. After we married I transplanted a 351 C with toploader 4 speed and 4:88's into it, with a bunch of mods. She never forgave me for messing up her first new car, but man would that car haul.
Enjoy the forum, you will find a lot of nice people here. We keep scaring the women away, but are trying to become more civilized.
