new & looking for info, fun!

Howdy everyone, just registered and what a cool site! I haven't yet gotten my hands dirty or my wallet emptied but am looking to do so next fall. Until then I'm looking for all sorts of information for me to digest and learn! Naturally I'll be looking all over this site but could anyone point me in the direction of books, website, tapes, dvds...anything for me to expand my little knowledge?

Welcome, some of us do this for a living and are at the racetrack every Friday and Saturday night. You will soon see who the blower guys are n2o guys Chevy guys and Ford guys are etc.
I am pushing 40 and some of the guys have built and raced cars and hot rods before I was even a twinkle in dads eye.
We are now deep into the 3rd generation of hot-rodders.
Every year I try to go to the S.E.M.A show in Vegas and other trade shows just to try and stay up with the trends.
Ask any and all questions. No question is a dumb question. It is only dumb if you ask it 6 times.
I hope we can all help.

Welcome gitcs. Specifically what kind of car are you interested in building.........hot rod, custom, musclecar, etc.?

Like Eric said, we are really happy to converse with you and try to help, and it only gets tiring when someone keeps beating the same question to death over and over, or has no specific goal in mind and just wants us to design his/her car on paper. Bench racing is fun ,to a point.

Look forward to talking with you on here.
