Welcome to CHR. Good God, I remember a friend of mine had a brand new '64 Comet Cyclone when we were in high school.....what a rocket, with the 289 and 4 speed!

I will always love those '64 & '65 Comets! We had an A/FX '64 in Danville, Illinois, and a lot of '64-'65 Cyclone street cars. I tried to buy an Arizona '65 Cyclone builder with A/FX hood a few years ago, but when I showed interest, the price doubled.....within one day!!! I don't play that game. :-( Too bad. I would love to have built it.

    Looking forward to some pictures.

I had this while in the Army in 78-82, drove it home to California, it was my paltoon leader ride he went to germany and I got the car, Man this was a fast, so fast the a changller did not want to race he know my paltoon leader did to the 289 hipo all inside was total racing and I got 5 mile to the gallon, guess how much to drive from El Paso, TX to Santa Clara, CA in 1981 $260 for gas one way, so it stayed home until I got out in 82, sold it once with baby on the way and now I have it back it went through 2 people in my town and I saw an ad in the paper went to see it and man it was my old cyclone still had my paperwork in the trunk, so I had to ask the wife please can I have my car back, this was my very first car and she said yes and I have ready soon, just last weekend I did a great br=urn out in it, sorry for so long hope you can read it, thanks

Hey man, welcome to the forum. Great looking cars, and you got your old one back, how cool is that! I'm just 100 miles or so North of ya, maybe we will run into each other some time, not really of course, hate to damage old cars!

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
