Talking Hi I'm A Nickel and Dime Hotrodder

Hi everybody. I'm a nickel and dime kinda hotrodder who doesn't have to have the looks but likes the speed. Maybe one day when I retire I'll have something that looks good and goes fast but for right now I just like tinkering on motors. I just like that there is so many options to basically build what you want. I'm still new to hotrodding though. I've been doing mechanic work for about 8 years. I've worked in independent and dealership atmospheres and I've also had some experience behind a parts counter. If I can help anybody with anything thats great. It's a good feeling to help somebody that needs it. And I appreciate anybodys help when I need it. Unlike most of my generation I like domestics and older vehicles. I like the idea of new technology horsepower in older vehicles too. But I can't stand people that think that body kits, wings, and round noisy mufflers makes their car fast. They make me ashamed to be young. But I hope that when I have children they will share my enthusiasm with turning wrenches, muscle cars, and classic customs. We need a new generation of domestic hotrodding.
If I knew anything I'd be dangerous.

Welcome to CHR Gerald. Sounds like you are proceeding in the right direction. Eventually the money will come for getting "the look" and all the shinies...
