my intro
Hi all,
I'm a 28yo archaeologist (hence the name) who works for the Army. I recently completed my master's degree in GIS/Remote Sensing. Basically I do a lot of technical stuff with archaeology.
I've been messing around with cars since my first Mustang at age 14. I kind of got out of it through the early college years, but now that I'm out of school, I'm back into cars. My father and I have been working on a couple of projects. Mine a '27 Model T, flathead power, and underslung front suspension (model A rear suspension) with rack and pinion steering. My car is presently in about a thousand pieces as I prep it for paint. In the end it'll be blue with wide whites all around. I haven't decided on what to do with the top yet. A bench seat is in the very near future, the tweed's gotta go.
Dad's is a '36 Ford PU with a Packard 288/Chevy 3spd on a HEAVILY modified Explorer frame. I include it because he's not as technologically inclined as I, so I tend to post about it as well as my car.
I live in Manhattan, KS BTW.
Thanks,
chris
