My name is Ken.
Hi guys! lol! The names Kenny, or Kenneth which ever you prefer. You call call me Kip if you want. (Stands for middle initial and last name.) Well let me get started here, I live in California and I was the world war two babe. My father was really wealthy but we never seen eye to eye.
I was never really into hotrods much in the 60's. I went from Peola to the Beatles and me and some of my pals started a garage band back in 1965. I bought 59 Gibson Flying V and we hit the local circuits. Never made it big but I hung out with some pretty famous people I'll touch on that later.
Well in 60's when I heard Elvis sing are you lonesome tonight on drugs and I hit her pretty hard. The 60's for me was the beach, my cousins woodie Dick Dale and Morrison. It was when my father bought me my first muclse car 1967 Dodge Coronet RT that I fell in love with hot rods.
Well to make a long story short I blew it big time. Yup I was nailed hardcore. My father cut me out, out my money and everything. I had to live like most of you people. Back in 90's I regained my love for cool cars after I went clean off of cocaine and booze. Frankly I got back on my feet on my own.
My occupations
Bandmate
Radio DJ
Small Jobs
Gas Station Attendant
Walmart Greeter
Painting/Drywall
My pops is sitting pretty on some big money.
Thanks guys.Happy.

But seriuosly folks. LOL! Well it was a 1958 when I heard Duane Eddy's Rebel Rouser. It climbed the charts quicker than you can say Lonnie MAck. Well that is what we started out as I knew Teddy Johnson from The Flips and the Teddy Bears. Maybe some of you old timers remember "To know him is To Love Him" He and jazz masternubd Rich Polodor andd Art Laboe had a hot 45 with the song TEEN Beat. See I knew those guys.
Well We got into the surf scene and became a big in the local cities when the Pyramids got there breeak. They hit #18 on the charts with one of my favotites. Penetration was the name. I still have the 45 and I was in Bakini Beach right when Skip Mercxier did a summersalut while playing his guitar.
Hot Doggett
Thanks guysHappy.

I have a collection of 45's (300 or so) and most of them are from '57 to '61. I was and still am, a little partial to Dick Dale which as you probably know is considered by many to be the godfather of heavy metal. I used to watch him at the Riverside National Guard Armory in '62 and '63 when I was stationed at Camp Pendleton. Again, welcome to the forum.Ken Thomas
