Dont know if you remember but... 66 T-Bird?

    Hey Guys,

Well I have not been an avid poster here but things are going to change! Some of you may remember me posting my plans to rod a 66 T-Bird... Got mixed response, to be expected from the T-Bird Purist but anyhoo... My friend and I just finished painting it last night and today I mouted the wheels and tires. Its a two tone green (hard to tell in the pics) So now... got to put in the Air Ride Tech setup to get it into the weeds... my Auto lock shaved door handle kit and get it all back together.... Lots of time till spring right???? Riiight! LOL Anyways ENJOY!

The car currently is still running the original 390. Still runs pretty strong. My plans for next year are to remove that... put it away and drop in a 32V 5.4L out of a Lincoln Navigator, then throw a Vortech supercharger on it. But many...many pennies will have to be saved. LOL

Well Im glad to hear you can see the colors... my screan makes the lower half look black.

Really good to see the 60's Birds making a comeback!! Young guy here in town is doing a '64. I'm still looking for "the right" '64 to '66 for myself, auctions will start up again in a couple months. Maybe I'll get lucky this summer. Friend of mine has a '60, sure would like to trade him out of it.

You know when I first started this car I thought that people would think I was crazy?! Its really not a common car to hotrod. But I saw something in the lines of it, and the knew that the potential was there. Then to see that 63 on Overhaulin done... well that took me back.

Stick with that car hambiskit Im sure it will turn out great! As far as parts... I was pretty lucky... I purchased this car off the original owner and it was complete! It was in really good shape with only a 2" square of rust that had to be cut out. So most parts will be going back on the car. That being said... the stuff that I shaved off is up for sale. I have the emblems, door handles, power antenna and turn signal indicators available. I also have 5 steel wheels available all of which are in really good shape.

If you want to see what I started with and how it became what it is so far today, check out our site and if there is anything I can do to help any of you with performance parts just ask!!

PS there where a few guys local to me(Vancouver, BC) with thunderbirds and other hotrods... Id like to get together with all you guys and pick your brains and hear your stories! Im 28 and pretty new to the scene and I know I have allot to learn so...
